Are Atoms Real

Are Atoms Real

Q How do you know Atoms are Real? Atoms are very small. The first images of atoms were developed in 1970. Since then we have developed better and better techniques to image atoms and small molecules. Imaging atoms still is a very expensive and difficult task. Imagine you are a curmudgeon and a science skeptic. You can't stand the discussion of this thing called the "atom." Use your imagination and come up with three (3) arguments that try to disprove atomic theory. Then, respond to at least two other student's posts to try and convince them that atoms do indeed exist. Have fun!

I need to see it to believe it. I can conclude that atoms do not exist due to the fact that I cannot see them with my naked eye. To see little moving particles I need a super strong microscope and that may hidner the way I see things and altar what exaclty I am seeing, to be able to believe something, and believe it is real I need to be able to see it for myself. Due to this reason, I do not believe atoms are real. They said that atoms make up anything and everything. If this is true, where do they come from? What are they made of? If they make up everything, something has to make up their mass and their volume etc. These cannot just eternally exist if they make up our bodies. They must die out and if they cannot be reproduced then eventually won't everything just disappear?
